    Install the app (PWA)

Installing Runnit on your home screen makes it feel like a real app and helps you get push notifications (event invites, reminders, and updates).

    Android (Chrome)

    1. Open Runnit in Chrome.
    2. Tap the menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
    3. Tap “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
    4. Launch Runnit from your home screen.

    iPhone (Safari)

    1. Open Runnit in Safari (not Chrome).
    2. Tap Share → “Add to Home Screen”.
    3. Tap “Add”.
    4. Launch Runnit from your home screen.
    Push notifications
When prompted, tap “Allow” for notifications. If you tapped “Don’t Allow”, you can enable notifications later in your phone settings (or your browser’s site settings) and then reload the app.
    iPhone note
Push notifications on iPhone require iOS 16.4+ and the app must be launched from your home screen (installed PWA).
    Sports settings

Use Sports settings to indicate what you play and how you want to participate. These preferences help Runnit show you more relevant leagues, invites, and sub requests.

    Find leagues

Start by browsing public leagues near you for your sport. Join leagues that match your schedule and level. Join private leagues directly with an invite link.

    RSVP and waitlists

RSVP to let the organizer know you’re in (or out). If a game is full, join the waitlist so you can be next up when a spot opens.

RSVP early when you can. If you can’t make it, decline as soon as you know so someone else can play.

    Sub requests

Sub requests are how players connect. They can be tied to group events, or you can create one to find someone who can fill in for a missing teammate. You can specify male or female, skill level, and position needed.

    Notifications

Turn on the notifications that help you show up on time: invites, reminders, and event updates when details change.

    Payments (optional)

Some leagues charge for events or seasons. If payment is required, Runnit will show what’s owed and track paid status. Organizers can specify that payments be made online (facilitated by Runnit), or they may make alternate arrangements. Make sure you know who you are paying. Runnit helps you get connected, but it is not involved in vetting, handling transactions, or handling disputes.

    Privacy controls

You control what information is visible to others. Keep your profile community-friendly and share contact details only when you want to.
